Pricing Update for Existing MathNotes Users
MathNotes is moving from unlimited free use to a limited free plan. This update explains what is changing, what stays the same, and how the grace period works for existing signed-in users.
What is changing
Starting March 13, 2026, MathNotes uses three plans: Free, Plus, and Pro. Free no longer includes unlimited note creation or the full premium feature set.
Free remains available, but it is now a limited plan. Plus adds more capacity and core workflows. Pro adds the full AI workflow.
Your notes stay safe
This pricing change does not delete your notes. Existing notes stay accessible in the app. The change affects future feature access and free-tier limits, not ownership of your work.
30-day Plus grace for existing signed-in users
If you were already a signed-in free user before March 13, 2026, the updated app grants you 30 days of Plus access. That grace window starts the first time you launch the updated app.
During grace, you get Plus behavior in the app: unlimited notes, cloud sync, all calculator modes, PDF export, 100 Mathpix snips per month, and no ads. Pro-only AI features still remain Pro-only.
What happens after grace
After the 30-day grace period ends, your account returns to the normal Free plan unless you upgrade. Your existing notes are still there and still open.
If you want unlimited notes, cloud sync, exports, or AI features after that point, choose Plus or Pro in the app.
